i am beginning to severely HATE people who just say "yes" or "okay" or anything else of the sort when you have just given them TWO options.

me : i can either give you his mobile number or i can take a message and have him call you
caller : uh okay.
me : ...... sorry? did you want the mobile number or .... ?
caller : uh yea. the mobile number.

oh i just LOVE it when i get to have this conversation at work

i cannot STAND IT when people yell after you say "eep. this is a VERY bad line" because the distortion that this causes makes it IMPOSSIBLE to make out what they are saying.

this has happened more than 5 times today.

uh i just had a caller trying to speak to the office of one of our clients because he had left a message last thursday and hadn't been called back (note - he told me this at the start of the call!).
i told him FIVE times that the office does not open until 8:30.
